GoPro cameras are one of the most used camera types across the world. I like to use my GoPro underwater for photos and videography. The main concern I feel is: Do regular tripods last longer in the water? No, I need to upgrade to a waterproof Tripod.

It comes with a transparent body as you can see in the picture. The floating characteristic is the most attractive thing in this hand grip. Even if you drop the tripod accidently, it just floats on the water. Even in the night, you can spot this stand because of its bright color. 

The capon the bottom of the floating hand grip can be unscrewed to reveal a hollow compartment that can be used to store small items. And the Wrist strap is adjustable that provides additional security to the camera and other accessories. 

You have to remove the handle and screw on the pole for a longer selfie stick. Also, the transition from a short pole to a long pole is not quick. It’s like a pretty decent tripod stand for GoPro with Waterproof characteristics with a transparent design.

The minimum height of this stand is 7 inches for easy grip and you can also use it as a selfie stick while surfing on the board. This stick can extend in 3 separate lengths so you can choose the length of the stand. It is also light in weight and the grip is strong. Because of this lightweight nature, you can see it in the water in the wind of over 40 knots. 

The body is sturdy and made with the basic materials, you have to wash it after using it with saltwater. This basic tripod stand has pretty decent value but for the budget under $10, you can grab this basic stand from Amazon. 

The handgrip is made with soft rubber and comfortable to hold. All the screws used are rustproof which is a good thing at this price level. Unless you want a very long selfie stick, this is the good compact and lightweight selfie stick for your GoPro.

So what to look for the tripod stand before buying? There is no need to research a lot for these basic tripod stands. All the tripod stands I covered are basic stands that you can hold with your hand and offer little to no features like pan tilting, movements, twist locks, etc.

Because of the price range, all these stands mentioned here are below $20 and it is good to go with any tripod stand on the list. All these are available on Amazon and other stores like Adorama don’t have these waterproof sticks but you can get waterproof tripods that are more than $200.
