Are Tripods allowed at DISNEYLAND? but wait YOU CAN

Disneyland is the best place to take your kids and friends. The park always has something to show up like magic shows, fireworks, parades, and special events. You can enjoy the vacation period to fulfill your best time with enjoyment.

When it comes to photography, some places won’t allow you to bring tripods, monopods, and drones for security purposes obviously. There is so much to talk about Disneyland.

You can take some items and you have to leave some items. So, are tripods allowed to take inside Disneyland? Well, the answer is quite confusing because it is clear that you cannot take hand-held extensions for cameras but it is also clear that you can fold and fit a tripod or monopod inside a bag.

Here is the list of those banned or not allowed items in Disneyland.

  • Some pets (Of course you can bring but you have to keep them in a separate kennel, fees apply)
  • Skateboards
  • Scooters are not allowed inside
  • Remote controlled toys
  • Inline skates
  • Shoes with built-in wheels
  • Motorcycles, tricycles, unicycles, and Bicycles
  • Stollers (larger than specific size) You can check from here
  • Suitcases and Backpacks
  • Alcohol, weapons and Self-defense equipment like pepper spray
  • Wrapped Gifts

Now, here are the things related to photography that are not allowed/banned

  • Drones
  • Selfie sticks
  • Handheld extension poles for camera devices

One Reddit user asked this question in a community. His experiences of taking tripods and monopods to the Disney parks are insane. It’s true that there is a number of parks and islands that do not allow tripods.

To the worst scenario, some don’t allow cameras too. For obvious reasons, Disneyland or any other parks-like one won’t allow some particular gadgets.

Why Disneyland doesn’t allow Tripods and Drones?

Back in the days, A user asked “Are we allowed to bring tripods into the parks?” in Reddit. He had a 4.8-inch tripod that he wants to take it to Disneyland. Here are the responses he got for the question.

After June 30th, 2015 Selfie sticks are banned from Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks but many have wondered that if they can take tripods and monopods. Yes, there are some exceptions to take them inside the land.

Tripods that can be folded and stored in a reasonable size bag are allowed. You have to fit the tripod inside a bag or you can buy some Tripod bags from Amazon. Extendable monopods are allowed.

Along with these here are some that you have to note down.

  • GoPro brand body and head are allowed
  • GoPro 3 way style extensions are not allowed
  • Selfie sticks of any kind are also not allowed.
  • Tripods or monopods that are larger than 182cm are not allowed in any theme park.

Visitors are using selfie sticks even during rides ignoring warning signs and they are putting Disneyland staff into trouble. This is not at all a good step to take care of the Disneyland management.
